NERT Workshop & Training

I got an email asking me to signal-boost three new Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) 6-session training series – and a one-time NERT workshop.

NERT will be holding one workshop and three (3) new training beginning February 13 and March 18, 2014.   Please add our PDF flyer to your E-Newsletter/Website for the coming weeks.  We find that citizens will take the NERT training as it fits into their schedule.

The San Francisco Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) is free training from the San Francisco Fire Department in how to help yourself and your neighbors prepare for and respond to a disaster by working together. The 20-hour training taught by First Responders includes personal preparedness, light search and rescue, disaster medicine, shutting off your utilities, and how to participate as a member of a neighborhood response team. NERT also offers continuing training for graduates and activities that support building robust neighborhood teams. For more information, visit the NERT website or contact Lt.
